Ukrainian troops in several sectors of the front were reportedly ordered to temporarily refrain from combat operations. According to Ukrainska Pravda, the ceasefire was expected to remain in effect from midnight on September 5 until 11:59 p.m. on September 8.
Despite this, the Russian military continued its attacks after the ceasefire was supposed to begin. In Boryspil, a strike drone hit a nine-story residential building. Russia was also reported to have used ballistic weapons against Dnipro and the surrounding region.
Meanwhile, the Office of the President of Ukraine has not officially announced any ceasefire.
