During the 36th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format, partner countries announced new contributions to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses and provide drones and artillery ammunition, according to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi presented allies for the first time with the War Plan guiding the operations of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
Following the meeting, Germany announced new deliveries of interceptor missiles for Patriot systems and missiles for F-16 fighter jets, as well as the procurement of drones.
The United Kingdom will allocate £100 million to purchase US-made weapons through the PURL initiative. It will also provide Ukraine with an additional 95,000 drones by the end of the year and tens of thousands of extended-range artillery shells funded by other countries.
The Netherlands will contribute $300 million to the Drone Line project and provide 300 counter-drone missiles. Norway confirmed its previously announced $200 million package for the purchase of Patriot missiles.
Poland is preparing a new €50 million military aid package that will include air defense systems. Spain will provide air defense missiles and artillery ammunition, as well as allocate €2 million for fuel purchases through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency.
Lithuania will contribute $10 million to the PURL initiative. Sweden announced a $28 million support package, half of which will also be directed toward purchasing US-made weapons through PURL.
Estonia, meanwhile, plans to continue supporting Ukraine in 2027 by allocating at least 0.25% of its gross domestic product.
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry stressed that the key outcomes of the latest Ramstein-format meeting were agreements to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses, increase drone supplies, and provide ammunition to the Defense Forces.
