President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre met with executives from leading defense companies in partner countries.
The talks focused on the FREYJA anti-ballistic program, which aims to create an integrated system to protect Europe from aerial threats. Ukraine, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom are expected to join the initiative.
Representatives of Fire Point, Kongsberg, Weibel, Saab, Diehl Defence, Hensoldt, Thales, Safran, Sener, and Leonardo attended the meeting. The parties outlined the next steps for national leaders and government officials, as well as for defense developers and manufacturers.
According to Zelenskyy, the partners expect the cooperation to deliver its first practical results. The president thanked Norway for organizing the meeting and stressed that protecting European skies is a shared responsibility of Ukraine and its allies.
