Three people, including a four-year-old child, were injured in an overnight Russian attack on Odesa, a port city in southern Ukraine. All those injured are receiving medical care. The severity of their injuries is not yet known.
A 19-story residential building was damaged in one of the city’s districts, with apartments destroyed on the 14th through 16th floors. Nadiia Zadorozhna, first deputy head of the Odesa City Military Administration, reported on the aftermath from the scene.
Emergency responders and municipal crews are working at the site. An emergency coordination center has been set up to assist those affected.
The reported number of injured is preliminary. The extent of the damage and other consequences of the overnight attack are still being assessed.
