Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said China is getting closer to acquiring new military technologies and is already transferring some of them to Russia. He made the remarks in an interview with The Wall Street Journal Editor-in-Chief Emma Tucker.

According to Zelensky, Russia is currently testing these technologies and has not yet deployed them on a large scale.

“The problem is that China is very close to such technologies, and they will share them with Russia. This is true. They have already started doing it. There have already been several cases where they tried to use this new technology. Not on a massive scale, but they are moving toward it. They are training. They are testing it in practice,” Zelensky said.

As an example, the Ukrainian president described the use of drone technology near residential buildings.

“They use it, for example, near the window of a building. The drone flies through the window, hovers and waits for people, and then attacks when people appear,” he said.

Zelensky also said the United States already possesses similar technologies and that China, according to him, has transferred some related developments to Russia.

“China will share them with Russia — some have already been shared. We think that at the end of December or in January, they will transfer these technologies,” the president said.

In the same interview, Zelensky discussed the spread of modern military technologies and the involvement of North Korean troops, who, according to him, are gaining experience in drone operations and modern warfare.

The Ukrainian president stressed that the development of long-range missiles and unmanned systems is effectively erasing geographical boundaries in modern conflicts.

“There is no distance in this war at all,” Zelensky said.
