Ukraine continues to respond to Russian attacks with long-range strikes. Overnight on September 28, Ukrainian forces hit a number of military and industrial facilities inside Russia, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
According to Zelensky, two defense plants in Russia’s Tula and Voronezh regions were hit. Units of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) also targeted oil facilities in the Krasnodar region.
Strikes were also carried out against facilities in the Kaluga and Oryol regions that, according to Zelensky, Russia uses to launch drone attacks against Ukraine.
In the Bryansk region, Ukrainian forces targeted Russian military units. Zelensky also reported that a target in the Black Sea had been hit, without providing further details.
“I am grateful to everyone who is bringing the war back to where it came from. Russia must stop the escalation,” Zelensky said.
