Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the Lyman sector, one of the areas of the front line in eastern Ukraine where intense fighting with Russian forces is ongoing. He met with soldiers of Ukraineโ€™s 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade, which took part in Operation Vivaldi.

According to the Presidentโ€™s Office, Ukrainian units initially cleared around 75 square kilometers of territory of Russian infiltration during the operation. Through subsequent joint efforts by Ukraineโ€™s Defense Forces, more than 125 square kilometers were brought back under Ukrainian control. The brigade also took part in retaking Korovyi Yar.

Speaking to the troops, Zelensky highlighted the importance of the Kharkiv and Izium sectors and thanked them for helping restore Ukrainian control over territory.

โ€œPlease, take care of yourselves,โ€ Zelensky told the soldiers.
