US Vice President JD Vance has stated that he does not support Ukraine joining NATO, emphasizing that relations between Kyiv and Washington do not necessarily mean the two countries will agree on every issue.

He made the remarks in an exclusive interview with 2WAY Tonight, responding to a question about the difference between being a partner and an ally.

โ€œAs far as I know, we don’t have a formal alliance with Ukraine. They’re not in NATO. I don’t think that they should be in NATO,โ€ Vance stated.

At the same time, the US vice president spoke positively about Ukraine and its people.

โ€œThey’re a very admirable country, a beautiful country with a lot of amazing people,โ€ he noted.

According to Vance, the United States will continue cooperating with Ukraine, although the interests of the two countries will not always align.

โ€œWe’re going to work together on some things, but also we’re going to be opposite on some things too,โ€ the US vice president emphasized.
