Jared Kushner, U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and a participant in American diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine, has reported positive developments in negotiations with Kyiv, Moscow, and European partners.

He made the statement on October 21 in a post on X, following diplomatic meetings by the U.S. delegation in Oslo and St. Petersburg.

According to Kushner, the past several days have brought encouraging results, although significant challenges remain.

“Encouraging progress over the past several days. Steve Witkoff and I are grateful to President Trump for his leadership and to our Ukrainian, European, and Russian counterparts for engaging constructively,” he wrote.

Kushner expressed confidence that the current diplomatic efforts could pave the way toward ending the Russia-Ukraine war.

“There is still hard work ahead, but we have a real opportunity to move beyond this war and build a framework for lasting peace, security, and prosperity for generations to come,” he emphasized.

However, Kushner did not specify what agreements had been reached or whether the parties had agreed on concrete steps toward ending the fighting.

His statement came after Steve Witkoff met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 21. Despite the optimistic assessments from U.S. representatives, no specific ceasefire agreement has been announced so far.

Kushner had also reported progress following visits to Moscow and Kyiv in September 2026, identifying territorial disputes as the main obstacle to ending the war in Ukraine.
