Vladimir Putin’s talks with US President Donald Trump’s representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, lasted more than three hours and ended without any concrete agreements being announced.
According to Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, the meeting took place both at the negotiating table and over a meal in a less formal setting. The US representatives presented several ideas concerning a possible end to the war, but the Russian side did not disclose their substance.
Moscow also presented its assessment of the battlefield situation during the talks. Ushakov said the Russian delegation highlighted the advance of its forces and reaffirmed its intention to achieve its stated objectives.
According to him, Witkoff and Kushner plan to use the information they received during their meetings in Kyiv.
The US representatives are expected to convey the Kremlin’s position to the Ukrainian leadership and discuss further diplomatic steps with Volodymyr Zelensky. The specific details of the US proposals have not yet been made public.
