American photographer Frank Mitman has published a sarcastic post on X mocking the Republican Party’s attitude toward US President Donald Trump and his relationship with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
“Donald Trump could give Putin a blow job on Fox News and every Republican Representative would praise his technique and his diplomacy,” Mitman wrote.
The post attracted considerable attention on social media. At the time the screenshot was shared, it had received more than 388,000 views, approximately 29,000 likes, and 2,500 reposts.
His sarcastic remarks came amid a new wave of controversy surrounding Donald Trump’s policies toward Russia and Ukraine.
Earlier, following a phone conversation with Vladimir Putin, the US president announced an agreement to allow Russian diesel fuel to enter global markets. Washington also eased the relevant sanctions restrictions.
Trump publicly thanked Putin for the deal, emphasizing that the United States would receive substantial volumes of much-needed fuel.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized Washington’s decision, warning that allowing Russia to sell petroleum products would effectively help finance Moscow’s ongoing war against Ukraine.
Against this backdrop, Trump launched a sharp attack on the Ukrainian president. He accused Zelenskyy of being unwilling to reach a peace agreement and urged Ukrainians to elect a new leader.
