Ukrainian Defense Forces units deployed across several sectors of the front have reportedly been ordered to temporarily refrain from combat operations. According to “Ukrainska Pravda”, the ceasefire will remain in effect from 12:00 a.m. on September 5 until 11:59 p.m. on September 8.
The information was confirmed to the outlet by service members from several brigades operating in different sectors, as well as by a senior source within Ukraine’s security and defense establishment.
Ukrainian officials have not yet formally announced the ceasefire or explained the reasons behind the decision. Representatives of U.S. President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, are expected to hold talks in Moscow and Kyiv in the coming days.
