Hungary will continue to provide protection to Ukrainian men of military age who enter the country, Prime Minister Péter Magyar said.
He noted that the European Union had decided not to grant temporary protection to Ukrainian men liable for military service who have problems with their military registration documents. Hungary opposed the decision.
“Hungary will act differently. We reserve the right to grant asylum to men of military age who flee to our country,” Magyar said.
