Starting September 10, Kyiv’s curfew will run from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m., making it one hour shorter. The Kyiv Defense Council approved the change in accordance with a government resolution and amid the worsening security situation, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.
Once the changes take effect, public transport in Kyiv will operate for an additional hour. Meanwhile, the opening hours of cafés, restaurants, entertainment venues and shopping malls will remain unchanged.
The city will also introduce four bus routes from Kyiv Central Railway Station during curfew hours. They will transport passengers whose trains arrive late because of air-raid alerts and security restrictions.
Klitschko also noted that since September 3, large transit vehicles have been permitted to travel through Kyiv during curfew hours.
