Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said the war must end on Russia’s terms. Otherwise, he claimed, hostilities could resume at short intervals and escalate into a global conflict.
“If, for whatever reason, we fail to bring the conflict to an end on our terms, it will be revived again and again after relatively short periods,” Medvedev said.
He also accused countries he described as Russia’s “enemies” of seeking to destabilize the country and divide it into parts.
