Medvedev urges Trump to use Pentagon and CIA to remove Zelenskyy

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, has publicly urged US President Donald Trump to use American military and intelligence agencies against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Russian politician effectively suggested that Washington physically eliminate the Ukrainian leader, without specifying how such an operation should be carried out.

In a social media post, the former Russian president accused Zelenskyy of allegedly undermining the Trump administration’s peace initiatives and openly confronting the US leadership.

Medvedev’s accusations included Ukraine’s refusal to accept proposed terms for a peace settlement, its continued demands for American military and financial assistance, and ongoing Ukrainian strikes against Russian oil refineries.

The Russian politician also accused Ukraine’s leadership, without providing evidence, of misappropriating American aid and creating the risk of a direct nuclear confrontation between Russia and NATO.

The most alarming part of his statement was a direct appeal to Trump to involve American security and intelligence agencies in removing Zelenskyy.

“What should Trump do with such a ‘son of a bitch of his own’? The answer can be found in American history. He simply needs to summon the Secretary of War and the CIA Director and instruct them to correct this unfortunate misunderstanding. The method, location, and means do not matter,” Medvedev said.

The statement amounted to an open suggestion by a senior Russian official that the US president use force against the leader of a country that has been resisting Russia’s full-scale invasion for more than four years.

Medvedev’s remarks came amid Washington’s diplomatic efforts to end the war and ongoing disagreements between the United States and Ukraine over the possible terms of a peace agreement.

Medvedev, who served as Russia’s president from 2008 to 2012, has repeatedly made aggressive statements targeting Ukraine and Western countries, including threats involving the use of nuclear weapons.
