The international Fire Shield exercises have begun in Moldova and will run from September 4 to 19. The drills involve Moldovan and Romanian troops, as well as members of the North Carolina National Guard, NewsMaker reports.
The exercises will take place at training grounds across the country. They aim to improve coordination between the participating units and strengthen Moldova’s defence capabilities.
The Fire Shield exercises have been held annually since 2015.
