Ukraine proposed that Russia halt hostilities, but Moscow has yet to provide any response. Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said this in a comment to Suspilne.

According to him, Ukraine’s proposal was delivered personally to Vladimir Putin. It called for an end to both aerial attacks on Ukrainian cities and fighting along the front line. Despite this, Russian drones continue to strike Ukraine.

Budanov also confirmed the planned visit to Kyiv by U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. He suggested that Russia may refrain from striking Kyiv while the American negotiators are in the capital.
