Intelligence agencies from several countries have information indicating that Russia intends to expand its military activity beyond Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his evening address.
“Many intelligence agencies have information that the Russians want to expand their war, their activity to other countries and possibly other regions,” Zelenskyy said.
According to him, the threat requires Ukraine and its partners to strengthen their defenses jointly and proactively. The president also linked this to the need for greater sanctions pressure on Moscow and the development of joint defense projects.
Zelenskyy said Ukrainian military intelligence has access to internal Russian documents detailing Moscow’s weapons production plans for next year, including planned production volumes and funding.
According to the president, Russia plans to spend $12 billion next year on jet-powered drones and loitering munitions alone.
