Russian forces struck a residential apartment building in Kyiv with a drone on Thursday morning. A 14-year-old boy was killed in the attack, while seven other people were injured, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

A fire broke out at the site of the strike and has since been extinguished. Emergency crews continue to deal with the aftermath of the attack.

โ€œAn absolutely savage and sickening strike, devoid of any military logic,โ€ Zelensky said, expressing condolences to the boyโ€™s family and loved ones.

In Zaporizhzhia, Russian forces struck a medical clinic while people were inside. Injuries were also reported in the Sumy and Mykolaiv regions.
