Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has questioned Russia’s ability to deliver millions of tons of diesel fuel, as promised by Vladimir Putin.
According to the Polish diplomat, fuel shortages within Russia itself point to serious problems in the country’s oil industry.
“Our embassy reports fuel shortages even in Moscow, which traditionally receives priority in supplies,” Sikorski stated.
He also noted that, according to credible sources, Ukrainian strikes have already damaged approximately 50% of Russia’s oil refining capacity.
Against this backdrop, Poland’s foreign minister cast doubt on the feasibility of the Kremlin’s promised diesel exports.
“Where, then, are the surplus fuel supplies for export supposed to come from?” Sikorski asked.
