Ukraine will continue launching long-range strikes against Russia’s energy infrastructure despite an agreement between US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin to release Russian diesel fuel onto the global market.
Financial Times journalist Christopher Miller reported this, citing a senior Ukrainian official.
According to Miller, Washington’s decision has sparked frustration and anger in Kyiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sharply criticized Trump, describing the move as “weak.”
Meanwhile, a senior Ukrainian official told Miller that Ukraine has no intention of abandoning its strikes on Russia’s oil infrastructure.
“We will burn their refineries,” the official declared.

Earlier, the Financial Times reported that Trump had reached an agreement with Putin that would allow Russian diesel fuel to enter the global market.
The US president himself thanked Putin for the deal, emphasizing that the United States would receive large volumes of fuel.
Zelenskyy, for his part, warned that easing sanctions on Russian petroleum products would effectively help finance Moscow’s continued aggression.
“Russia will ‘repay’ the diesel deal with more terror and dirty tricks. Allowing Russia to sell petroleum products is an investment in a war that must be ended, not prolonged,” the Ukrainian president stated.
