Russian forces struck petrol stations in Kyiv’s Dniprovskyi and Obolonskyi districts on the morning of September 11. Six people were injured in the attacks, including a State Emergency Service employee.
Five of the victims were taken to hospital, while one received medical assistance at the scene. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko later reported that two people had died from their injuries, including one who died in hospital. Four injured people remain in Kyiv hospitals.
According to emergency officials, fires broke out at the targeted facilities but have since been extinguished. While emergency crews were working at one of the sites, Russia carried out a second strike, injuring a rescue worker.
In the Obolonskyi district, drone debris also fell onto a vehicle, damaging it. Another fire broke out at a non-residential site following a drone strike.
Several bus and trolleybus routes were temporarily diverted due to the damage and road closures on Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych avenues.
Separately, overnight on September 11, a Russian drone struck a nine-storey residential building in the Dniprovskyi district. Eight people were injured, two of whom were taken to hospital. One of the victims was reported to be in serious condition.
