Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has threatened Ukraine with further attacks on its energy and digital infrastructure, describing them as “retaliation” for Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries and other facilities.
The Russian news agency Interfax reported the remarks.
According to Putin, Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries are continuing, although he claims they have caused no significant damage to Russia.
At the same time, the Kremlin leader declared that Moscow had already launched retaliatory strikes, including attacks on energy facilities and data centers.
“They made the first move, and now we have started responding. We’re hitting energy infrastructure too — they’re already crying out — and other facilities, including data centers. They shouldn’t have started this. They should have thought about the consequences before taking that step,” Putin declared.
He also accused Ukraine of attacking Russian online platforms Wildberries and Ozon, claiming that Moscow had not anticipated such actions.
According to the Russian dictator, following Moscow’s retaliatory strikes, Kyiv allegedly turns to its Western partners, asking them to pressure Russia into stopping the attacks.
